I think I speak for us all when I say we need a tutorial on how to make our td-50 hats to sound like this. I have been having issues with the open hi hat sound and can't figure out what the problem is.

Would love to see some multitrack integration/love with the Tascam consoles. If you could make it so that the SP would run with the Tascam (Model 24) via usb thus sending each pad to a track on the mixer... that would be rad.

I have to be honest, these kits seem indeed like a downgrade from their td1, but come in a much lower price for people learning. Ekits will never sound like a real kit but I’ve come to see them only as a practice pad to hear what I’m playing. Velocity and ghost notes never feel the same

It’s ok .. I’ve had half the real digital instruments like the JD-800 sitting in my house for many years now .. the difference is .. the DA converters in the actual Instruments give the instrument a distinct character you just don’t get from the plugin versions .. even with high end audio interfaces like Apogee, RME, UA, etc. Still .. I find Zenology fun to mess around with 👍

Reminds me of mij ex brother in law back in ‘86. He had a c-64, a Steinberg Pro-16 and a Midi-keyboard. In ‘87 switcht to Atari, Qbase and Roland midi soundbanks mounted in a 19” rack. He also got a Dr Rithm and a Roland drum pad. And his mum and dad and litle sister and brother to do the background choir singing in his songs. It really was a funny happy family. Professionally dad was the chairman of the board of directors of the biggest Dutch insurance multinational. In his 20’s he was a sailor at the Royal Dutch Navy Aircraft carrier Karel Doorman. He played the Clarinet too. Any instrument needs a human touch to come alive. If all is in the right constellation, you can make the heavens sing with these Roland keyboard stuff.
